Nice pictures! I took the plunge today and ordered a TC40D w/ss and a 17a loader with quick detach heavy duty 72" bucket. I found a dealer close to where I purchased 50 acres to build our dream home. I will wait on the attachments until I need them. It makes the price a little easier to convince my better half:) I went for the 3 years@2.9%. I'm more excited about getting my tractor than building our dream home...it must be a guy thing! It is amazing to me that a week ago I didn't even know that New Holland made tractors...I know, I'm not supposed to tell you all how uninformed I was, but after reading the "the ultimate compact tractor guide " and ALL of the discussion of all of you, I can say with confidence that I am an educated buyer! Thanks to all for your help. Any additional advice on deliver etc... would be appreciated.

Congratulations! That is a fine tractor you bought. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I'm sure you'll be very happy together.

Great day! I read this board every day for two years and still was nervous when I bought my tractor. I wish I could make decisions that fast. And we both arrived at the same decision. You just got there much faster. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Congrats and welcome to the Blue group! (I wonder if NH could convince the "Blue Man Group" from Chicago to endorse their product? That might be a wild looking ad! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif)

When do you expect to get your new baby?

Maybe my decision looked fast on paper but I have been looking (not serious) for a tractor for the past 6 years. We moved from Iowa to Indianapolis and I sold my pride and joy a 801 powermaster. We are so excited to be moving to the country again and...I get to have a tractor!!! I talked to the dealer today and he was looking for the tractor at other dealers. Is this common? Would you advise me to ask them to get it from the factory? I don't mind waiting a little while ecspecially since we don't close on land until end of May! My wife thinks I'm getting the cart before the horse but I happy either way the deal goes!
That's an awesome idea about the BLUE MAN GROUP! /w3tcompact/icons/clever.gif I'm sure they would love it. Let me know what they say /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Since you are already waiting until the end of May for the property I would tend to get one from the factory. Sometimes the tractors can sit on a dealer's lot for quite a few months. If you are planning on keeping it in a barn you might not want a unit that has sat in the sun and rain for the past 8 months.

Let us know what you do and be sure to post pics when you get the property and new baby! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

When I bought my tractor, the dealer called up the next day and said he had located one two states away and it could be there the next Tuesday. I told him I wasn't interested in one that had been sitting out in the sun faded since I was keeping it in the garage. So he cancelled that one and ordered one from the factory. It arrived the next Thursday, just two days longer than the one sitting on a dealer's lot.

If you're not in the huge rush, I would try to get one from the factory. That way you're sure it has all of the latest fixes.

One of the dealers I got a quote from had a TC 35 sitting on the lot that was still the old color blue. I don't know why it hadn't sold, but it only had 1.5 hours on it so another dealer might get it in for one of their customers, I sure wouldn't be happy if it were me.

I talked to the dealer today to let him know I wanted the tractor to come from the dealer and he was fine with that. He said I can expect my tractor within 3 weeks./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Thanks Brad for the heads up. I also ordered a grille guard for $188!/w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif and forks for $625.
Has anyone purchased the extended warranty, 60 months/5000hrs. for $960?

Doggone, my dealer said 3 weeks too. It took exactly 10 days if I remember correctly. Hopefully yours will be about the same.

Yesterday was a good day! I finally got to use my new TC40! After looking at it for the last month sitting in my shed while we closed on our property and readied our current house to list for sale. I didn't know I could be that patient. I put it to the test yesterday and cleared out acres of brush...Wow! I absolutely love my not so new looking tractor! Thanks again for helping me with my decision.
