I am not positive, but , this sounds right to me. I looked at the 40/45D's last year here in southern New England and it seems to me they were asking almost this much for a basic tractor with FEL and 956 hoe, no quick attach or anything else added in..

The only dealer that came close to the price was Corriher in NC. Since I am coming off of a 25 HP 4wd Bison I know full well how it feels for a local dealer to tell you that he can't help you on service needed for a rig bought in a different state. And even if you might be lucky enough to find one you take a back seat to all of his loyal customers. Been there, done that, I am now spending my hard earned bucks with a local dealer that has the means and will to keep this baby going for years to come. Once we get it we'll post a few pictures for all to see. I'm excited to say the least..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I noticed you bought a backhoe, but no rotary cutter. Also, you didn't mention any rear implements like a boxblade. Do you plan to leave the BH on the tractor all the time? What will you be using the BH for most of the time? ...just curious. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Jim actually I have a Woods 60 inch brush hog, a Woods 60 inch finish mower, a Woods 60 inch tiller, and an old 2-bottom Dearbourn plow that I have accumulated in the past years. I mostly use the finish mower on our 6 acre spread. My neighbor is elderly so for the past years I have also been maintaining his 2 acres of grass as well. Every time I sit on a tractor for 3 to 4 hours it recharges something within me that I really can't explain in words. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Some kind of a connection that I have always had to machinery since I was a young man tinkering with cult cars I guess.

I also have a Dearborn 2-bottom plow I inherited, but I've never used it on my Boomer. My brother has a row cultivator and a one-way also. Between the ages of 10 and 18, I spent many, many hours on a tractor with one of those implements behind me. But since I retired from the U.S. Navy over 20 years ago, I've not used any of them. Anyhow, I was just wondering what you were going to use your backhoe for and if you were going to leave it on the tractor full-time. With your mowers and tiller you will get plenty of seat time. The longer the job, the wider the smile on your face will be. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jim I purchased the backhoe because we have many, many projects planned for our 6 acre spread here in Ohio. Drainage ditches, culvert work, emergency spillway for our dam and so on. I'm even planning a second 24 X 35 pole barn in addition to the one we currently have. I really don't think that it will be attached to the tractor unless I think that I will be needing it for the days work. Most of my work will be with the finish mower and unloading product from semi-trucks using the pallet attachment. The wife and I run a mail order and Internet web-site and we always have product coming and going here at the Pine Ridge 7 Ranch. We started our business as a hobby and it quickly took over our everyday lives. It's now a full time job but we truely love it. You have to in able to put up with the 12 to 16 hour work days. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif My wife says slow down but I was born to run in high gear...... I have dealt with many Navy collectors from around the world. Most of them come to us for a full size Mark V dive helmet that we carry. They are very colorful people filled with many interesting stories to tell.
