I have been quoted a package price for a new Boomer TC-40D with SS, HST, Rear Spool HYD, ID Tires, with a NH mower model 914A 84" rear discharge mid-mount and a NH model 16LA/72" bucket for $26,882.90.
The TC-33D with SS, HST, ID tires, with a NH mower model 914A 72" side discharge mid-mount, 7308 loader 68" bucket for $23,6331.00
Based on what I read on this forum my pricing seems high to me. Thoughts!!

Thanks

Terry

Terry,
First of all welcome and don't forget to fill in your profile. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Not knowing of the break down prices of each item it seems your in the ball park, but in the spring time most dealer have specials if you can wait.

Three thousand dollars better in your pocket if your comfortable w/ the TC33D,and
would this be the dealers final price or could he sharpen his pencil.

Terry, I have no idea how much a mid mound mower costs (a lot I guess). I got my TC35D, HST, R4 (ID), 16LA, 6' bucket, fluid filled rears (no SS or rear spool) for 19,900 (before tax). With a Befco Auger and a Woods 6' cutter I was out the door with taxes for $22,500. Thinking about it now, your deal seems a bit high.

Do you really need SS? My tractor turns on a dime.

Terry,

I purchased a TC-45D (HST) w/16LA 72" HD bucket, R4's, and 50 service package for $22,000.00.

SS and 16LA

The SuperSteer axle and 16LA loader are not compatible. Not sure if you have a typo, or your dealer made a mistake. The 17LA is for Class III TC's with SS, the 16LA is for those without. The 7308 will fit Class II TC's with or without SS.

Terry,

I paid $23,000 for the TC40D w/SS 17LA loader, R4 tires, and 72" HD bucket. The belly mowers are expensive. Others have gotten better deals than I did but your price seems a few hundred higher than the price I had.

Terry--Sounds high to me too. I paid $21k for 33d w/o SS, filled R4s, light, loader, mid-mount mower and Bush Hog cutter. I think I overpaid a bit, but sounds to me like your dealer is pretty close to the top.

Why the jump to the 40D. You add only a few hundred to go to the 35D from the 33D. The 40D is at least another $1,500 above the 35D. The 33 is somewhat small so make sure this is what you want. Obviously there's advantages either way. I appreciate the "dual-power" range shifting of the 35, 40, 45 D line.

JohnT--what is a "50 service package?" When I was pricing a TC40D, I asked the salesman what it was and he could not find it in his Boomer book.

Sorry, I meant to say 50 hour service. NH requires engine oil and all filters to be changed after the first 50 hours of operation. They also do an inspection of the tractor at that time. In my case, told the dealer I wouldn't take his final price unless he included this serive.
