TC40DA: Cab is on

Dave,

If you haven't already done it, you might consider posting all of your photos in TBN's FREE Photo Section . It's really easy to do, and then all of you're photos are in 1 place. And you can add more photos as you get them. You can have as many as 50 photos (100k each or smaller) at one time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nice set up.

Do you have to get out to adjust the deflector chute on the snowblower? Or does the rear window open?

Yes I have to get out to change the chute. I may set up an electric solution to this. However the way my driveways are arranged I only have to move it once for three driveways.

The left hand side is the door and it is removable and opens wide, the right side is the escape window and it can be opened and locked in open positions, but the back window and windshield are fixed.

The windows are easily removed so this summer I may remove the cab or selectively remove some windows.

That's the cab that I have my eye on! If you don't mind my asking, how much was it, and what options did you add?

3 hrs to remove sounds nice. I was thinking the same way.

I'd be looking into automating that (plenty of threads here on hydraulic & electric versions) Or you could get your wife to stand out in the cold untill you need the chute adjusted so you don't have to put your mittens back on /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The cab was about 6K Canadian installed which of course would be a lot less if you buy with US$. (made in Manitoba) Purchased it as a package with the tractor but had to wait on the cab.

Options: Rear wiper, rear light, heater. I may get an interior rear view mirror for it. Other than that I am happy with it and in comparison to other cabs I like this one and feel the price was fair. As well there is grey carpet around the seat area. You can see what is available as options on Jodale Perry's web site.

If you look at the pictures you will notice ice (melted snow) on the windows. It was a very cold windy day when I took the photos and I had just parked it after blowing the driveways. The circulation was good enough to keep the windows clear and warm and me not too warm. It works well in cold weather.

Its a ROP frame so if I don't lift it off for the summer I'll have a complete cage around me. I'll see when the snow is gone.
