It took me a few muintes to get used to the two peddles. I got comfortable with the heel toe treadle peddle on my TC24DA. AT first I noticed it was a little hard to push the peddles in on the TC40DA and it was effortless to rock my foot on the the other. It just took a little getting used to and now I don't even think about it and even prefer it. My only concern is as the years roll on and my mind starts to short circuit ( at 90 plus ) I will get mixed up leaving th grocery store and wipe out half of the cars in the parking lot trying to figure out..... "Where the **** is my reverse peddle"!:)

The first time i used the two pedal i liked it but i recomend to drive it around in the parking lot before loading on a trailer the first time as mentioned the brake's are on the left side.It was easy learn to use after a few minutes on my tc40d you figure out why a hst tranny was built .The two pedal work's better above 1500 rpm for me and are not hard to push. The dealer recomended when working run it at 1500 or above to keep the fluid moving.I traded my 40 to a tc55 last winter only because i wanted more hp.Im going to miss the hst in certain work condition's i think.

Group,
More good news from the NH front. The treadle pedal is going away on the class 2 tractor line! I want to be careful what I say here but lets just say that the class 2 NH line is getting a "bit" of a makeover. Rumor has it that this new line will set the market on its ear again! (you didnt hear that from me...:) ).

NH has listened to customer input such as these about the treadle pedal and various other items on the tractor that the consumer would really like to see changed, and they are doing it! (and much more!)

Imagine that, a major actually building something because the buyer asked for it and not because THEY thought it was a good idea! :) I am excited about the changes and cant wait to see the prototype units. Yeah, I know....when can you see one? I simply dont have a clue at the moment but I am going to GUESS you will see them early 2008 and probably not much sooner. :( (hope I'm wrong...)

Regards,
Larry

Would my TC33D be a class 2 tractor?

Can you be anymore specific on the other changes? I would hate to jump to a competitor and then have the new New Hollands have the features I need.

NYBOB,
Yes, your TC33D is a class 2 compact along with the TC29, TC30, TC31, TC34, and the new T1520.

I wasn't given specifics about the upcoming changes but NH is starting with the class 2 tractors because they are the ones that need it most work done to them in regards to updates.

The dual hydro pedal is a definite change and I think the actual drive system is changing also, perhaps an integral accelerator / hydro pedal and maybe even an automatic range selecting transmission? I can only guess at this point based on some of the feedback I get from NH.

I can tell you that it will be like nothing they have made before. Supposed to stand the market on its head again just like the introduction of the Boomer compact line when it first came out!

Like you, I hate not having all the details because it is exciting and I can hardly wait to see it. I dont like telling buyers to wait but in the same breath I feel obligated to let them know that great things are coming. So thats what I do here. I select the best forum and best group of people to spread the word and stir interest.

Should you buy a competitive line or wait? That of course is entirely your choice. It is your hard earned money and you need to do what is best for your needs and budget. The majors are feeling pressure from the offline brands as they bring better product to the market each year. Kubota is doing great things with their Grand L40 and even our local Kioti dealer is stocking more tractors in anticipation of the spring thaw and buying frenzy.

We continue to be loyal to NH and we carry no other tractor brands at our dealership. How long we can survive staying that course is difficult to say. People like choices and they like to know that they have made the best choice possible given the chores for the tractor and their monthly allotment for payments. I love representing the NH line because they are a forward thinking company and are always in a perpetual state of change for the better. Keeps it fun! :D

Thanks,
Larry
