found out that the guy who fixed it did not have to split the tractor in half to get to the PTO brake/clutch . I know he had it out because I held it in my hand. So there is a way to fix the PTO brake on a TC40Da without having to split the tractor. parts were $504 and labor was about $300. Not bad for a job that was quoted at $1700 by the dealer.
