IT work isn't always at the keyboard - We had to run a cable from our old building to the new one - seen here on the right down the street -- from our old one about the same distance to my right. 2000 feet of cable - 400 pound reel - first problem "how do we get the cable off the reel so we can pull it through the conduit?" answer = TC45 of course. We started in the middle so we just had to pull 1000 feet at a time. First pull came right off the reel.

Then we had to get the rest off the reel to pull in the other direction - so we just reeled it off

Had to grease it up as it was pulled into the conduit - makes it pull easier and I hope help protect it from water

We call the lube "monkey snot" up here in the NW and it is usually blue.

Good job.

Does the added bucket increase versatility, capacity, or?? Does it have a swivel so you can backdrag without removing?

How much did you charge the nws per hour of tractor time? Just trying to keep an eye on where my tax dollars are going /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Smart use of the TC45 to make life easier.

Yo Dummy,
Just be glad that DOD didn't contract for it.
I'd be just another gold plated hammer or toilet seat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.... good place to hang a trash receptacle ... there was a box of paper towels, 5 gallon bucket of cable grease, pull string, etc in the FEL ... needed someplace to throw the paper towels after cleaning up grease.
