If you are talking about the TC45DA Hydrostatic transmission, you will gain almost nothing by buying the TC45DA over a TC40DA. The specs on those tractors are identical except for the PTO hp. Loader and hydraulic lift specs are identical. Don't waste your money on the TC45DA, get a TC40DA and you will have just as much power. I own a TC45D which I love, but I now know there was no reason to pay the premium for this tractor due to the HST transmission.
If you are considering buying a TC45A gear tractor, then there is a difference. My comments about the TC40DA only apply to the HST tractor.
As far as the Deere vs NH, I agree with everyone that you should try the tractors and buy the one that appeals most to you. They will both easily put a smile on your face.
