. just in case it isnt, can i adjust the spring tenstioner to get the roller centered?. thanks for the help
Blake

This thread is an oldie, but covers the full description of the problem (as I see it), JInman's difficulties with the swash plate, and others comment about similar problems. I suspect that you will be able to get the required results by adjusting the tension on the spring, and RickB has commented in other threads that you may be near the end of the available threads on the adjustment to get it to work. Just in case it doesn't give enough adjustment, post #47 is Spencer200's part number for a replacement spring that has more "spring". It is a pre-forum-upgrade thread so you won't get the smileys and emoticons, but the information is still relevent:

HST just wont stop quit

The thread also discusses the phenomenon of the HST pedal not wanting to return to neutral position when pulling a heavy load with low RPM. This involves the Charge Pump not developing enough pressure at low engine RPMs to return the transmission to neutral.

OK, i found the nut it has a small bolt in the center of it, both were not very tight. I loosened the bolt and turned the nut a little at a time until there wasnt any creeping .I dont think it was even a quarter turn.I tightend the center bolt and no more creeping.I will check the roller tomorrow to see if it is centered. just in case it isnt, can i adjust the spring tenstioner to get the roller centered?. thanks for the help

Blake, DocHeb gave you the full course answer. I suspect if you have to adjust the spring tension a little, it wouldn't hurt. Just make sure everthing is free and not having problems from friction. You've done a nice job of fixing a nagging problem. Too bad you missed the opportunity for a sale. Maybe you can contact that person again and have them take a second look. Hope so. . .
