TC45DA, JD 317,Bolens GK
Looking to buying my first CUT. Have done alot of reading on this website. The wife has informed me I get one tractor so make it a good one. LOL. SO, even though I only have 7.5 acres, I've decided to either go with the TC45DA with hydro, loader, posthole, rear blade, quik attach, forks for a-plan price of 25G and change, or I can get the same basic setup with the TC48DA without hydro.

After reading some of the sticking problems with Hydro I'm wondering if a shuttle shift would be the way to go. Either tractor is more than what I need but, what can I say, I want the bigger tractor. Have looked at lots of different tractors but keep coming back to NH because of a plan, looks, and local support. JD seems way over priced and I HATE the color orange. Any thoughts?

You will enjoy the manual shuttle shift on the TC48 if you decide to go with it. I have always prefered these over the hydros. Just knowing what power is comming out of the engine is going to the ground makes me happy! I guess its a Tim the tool man syndrome. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I guess it depends on location, but in some areas I have heard of the New Hollands costing more than the Deeres. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

BTW, did you ever decide which new toy you wanted? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yeah,

Ordered the TC45DA, drove a 40 and a 55 around the lot. Just really enjoyed the ease and 'fun' of the hydro on the 45. They are both nice tractors though. I went with the 45 because I could afford a few more implements/options up front. It's on order, could be in this week. YES!

Here's the damage:

TC45DA /with hydro
R4's filled
16LA FEL
PHD
HD Box Blade (Kodiak)
Soft Cab /w heater
Grille Guard
Rear Light
Lights for cab
Arm Rest for seat
Hooks welded onto Bucket
Cutting Edge on Bucket

Total: $26,500 give or take a few.

I'll let you know when it arrives!

CONGRATULATIONS byax65 on your most incredible purchase. She'll be a beaut. Make sure you attach some pictures WITH the soft cab on. Do you happen to know what the price adder was for the soft cab c/w heater ??

Kozak,

Soft-cab $1013
Heater $300
Installation of cab $600
Installation of htr $200
Keeping warm during
a harsh snowstorm PRICELESS!!

Actually, I'm gonna install the cab/heater myself and save the $800. And since spring is upon us, I probably won't worry about the cab till the end of summer/early fall. But I'll make sure and post some pics, with and without cab.

What part of Michigan did you buy your tractor from?

I just priced a TC55DA and listed all of my attachments on a current thread, but it is still around $10,000 more than you without a cab /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. My dealer is near Pound, Wisconsin.

Did you pay an extra $2,000 for R4 tires, or $1,000 for freight/prep or $900 for insurance?

I may have to bring some sand paper with me so I can help the dealer sharpen his pencil.

$2K extra for R4's? Did they fill them with gold or something?
