TC45DA PTO nosie

I purchased a new to me 2006 TC45DA in the fall over the winter and in the spring I used it for a lot of loader work and moving wagons but did not get to use the PTO till this week. I hooked it up to my 6ft finish mower and was able to mow for about a hour then I began to hear a intermittent noise coming from the rear/under the tractor at first I though that it was the mower or the PTO shaft had rubbed something. I investigated the rattle/rubbing noise and determined it was coming from the tractor while the PTO was running and it would make the no difference if it was hooked to the mower with the intermittent noise. I stopped for a while and the tractor cooled off so I started mowing again and after about a hour it did it again at the same stop of the yard on each pass it would make the sound for a few seconds and then stop. Does anyone have any ideas on this thanks John

I used the tractor again today and after about a hour the chatter started again. The PTO ran smooth and quite the first hour so I do not think it is a bearing and the PTO never slips or slows down so I do not think it is the clutch/brake am I correct in my thinking? I also tried to spin the PTO by hand and it would turn 1/4 turn or less so the brake is working? The PTO has minimal movement in and out. I checked the fluid and it did not feel hot. Could this be cavitation of some kind in the vlave? When I got the tractor the PTO lever was stiff but I sprayed the linkage down with wd40 and it is smooth now.
