Forget where I am no dealer is close enough to help.I don't want to buy orange, red or green,I like the blue. Now they are saying I have to pay a steel surcharge.Did it apply all year long or what?
The prices really help but it's still what kind of a deal you can make and how you feel about it.The 0% interest is good but it has some restrictions.I guess I will go to the dealer today and get a quote if they don't mind. One day I brought up another dealer on the internet and they were really ticked off,but now I have some info witch my help me. Thanks-BuyOne

There are no restrictions on the 0% financing that I know off this is a New Holland sponsered program no cost to the dealer at all. I think your dealer is trying to take advantage if he tells you something like there is restrictions. We have had the steel surcharges since about may. They where 2% then a couple of months ago they where increased to 3%.

Wow, realy seems that Buy-One and his dealer are in a tug of war!! Remember if your dealer doen't make any money he's not going to be around to serve you since he'll be out of business. Shop arround and get a feel for the prices in your area. Try to get a win/win situation regarding price. Making a decent profit is all normal. Normaly competition regulates that. Check with other folks that have a NH and how their relation is with that dealer. But don't forget, he (the dealor) is the midleman. You may be in love with the NH blue, if you hate your dealer you'll end up hating the NH blue.

The restrictions are 10% down (typically), and New Holland will only finance New Holland Products! If you get a Rhino loader or Bush Hog then you must cover it's cost with your down payment.

I can tell you from my personal experience that 10% down is not a requirement of this program. The down payment if any is more dependant on the customers credit history. New Holland will also finance non New Holland implements if they do not have a competing implement. For example New Holland no longer sells rear blades under there logo. So if you want to finance a rear blade of someone elses under the 0% they would do this. Again your dealer is giving you the wrong information.

BuyOne, if there are few, if any, dealers of any color within reach, there is not much you can do. I know that there are folks here who have had satisfactory experiences buying from a far and dealing with the shipping and service challenges, but that may not be for you (it wasn't for me).

From personal experience, I found that it really helped my interaction with dealers to announce that while I was a serious buyer, I was patient and determined to check out more than one brand and dealer. Setting expectations right up front works wonders.

It also really helped to stay a bit open minded regarding the brand. Yes, you will have your favorites, but in my case, it really paid off in the end not to be dead set on a single color. Once I identified a "first" choice, I made it clear to the dealer that I was going to make an effort to do the deal with him, but that I had an idea of what I wanted to pay, and if it didn't work out, I would just keep looking. No hard feelings either way.

After giving him a chance to sharpen his pencil, I told him that I wasn't comfortable enough with his pricing and asked if he could do better. Otherwise, I would need to spend some time exploring "other options." He politely declined to do any better. The next week, I began discussions with the dealer who represented my "second" choice color.

Well, lo and behold, this dealer ended up being the greatest, meeting or exceeding my expectations in every respect. To top it off, in the middle of my discussions with second dealer, the first dealer contacted me and offered to "consider" better pricing on his product if I would show him the written quote from the second dealer. Of course, I politely declined, pointing out that I owed the second dealer the same opportunity I had given the first dealer to "close the deal."

I only share this boring story to emphasize that, for me, everything worked well when I approached the buying exercise as a true process that would take time and would involve developing more than one option. Your only leverage as a buyer is to develop more than one satisfactory option. If you do, and it works out, you may very well feel a little added sense of satisfaction everytime you climb the seat and turn the key.

<font color="red">You may be in love with the NH blue, if you hate your dealer you'll end up hating NH blue

<font color="black">Really???
<font color="black">Why would you hate the product, if you hated the dealer?? I bought blue in the past and am buying blue again, as we speak. Granted, the dealer is an important part of the equation, but it shouldn't be the sole reason to like or dislike a product. I bought blue based solely on my research and the proven reliability of the product, not the dealer itself. While I agree you need dealer support, I don't think you should discredit the product just because the dealer is not meeting your expectations.

If you went to a specific fast food joint and got lousy food or service, would you condemn the product brand or just that one store? My point being that just because you are unhappy with the dealer due to whatever problem, is not reason enough to hate the product itself.

This is just my opinion and nothing more, so don't misread it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Today I used some of Spencer2000's pricing and things went quickly down hill. They really wanted to know where the pricing came from and said we had a serious problem.I asked if they could quote me based on those figures and they were really rude.
This deal can not be done with this dealer. The more they threaten and insult the me the more it reminds of future dealings with them. They said I was to imformed and they wanted someone who didn't know much to buy their tractor.I guess I will expand the buying radius but was told again today any thing I bought would be really high. What they want to be is the only source for the goods with no competition period.
It won't work like that. Thanks-BuyOne

Good to see it's been made perfectly clear that they have no interest in your deal. My guess is that you could expect something of the same when it comes to service down the road. If the dealer owner is unaware, I'd suggest you make him so, contact NH customer service, and then take you business elsewhere - hopefully to another NH dealer. Remember, dealerships are independently owned and they can pretty much do, and act, as they please. Not till NH hears about problems do they get concerned. With so much emphasis on the after-the-sale surveys that NH sends out, I'm really suprised the dealer wouldn't behave better. Good luck to you, no matter which dealer, or manufacturer you choose.

Tarheel tractor sells a NH TC48DA w/18LA loader, industrial tires, 12X12 shuttle shift, 72" HD bucket for $22,950.

This is less than the "dealer cost" mentioned above for a TC45DA.

Any idea how they manage that? Thanks.
