I veryfied my loader again today, and no soggy noodle here.

It sounds to me like the return line valve in the valve body is not closing. For the cyclinder to be rigid, both sides of the line need to be liquid full, and liquid tight. If the line from the upper end of the cylinder allows liquid to flow under normal conditions, downpressure will create a vacuum on the lower end of the cyclinder. Very little force is applied by the vacuum, and you get the sloppiness. If the upper end is closed, downpressure attempts to compress the liquid, and can't.

If this is an uncommon, but not intermittent, problem on a specific model, my guess is that the valve is not alligned correctly when it is centered. It could be a problem with the relief valve, too.
