TD75D Question

The TD95D I just got was only 36K without the loader. I'll get that in the spring.
I found out later it had a lot of options the dealer forgot to figure in so they didn't make as much as they should have but that's good for me. It had 3 sets of remotes, kickouts on all of them when it should have only been on one set and something about the tires was not the standard for this area. It's got big Michelin ag tires on it when all the others have some chinese brand I can't remember. They had several with turf tires even. The Michelins are what I see on them in most other parts of the country and I'm perfectly fine with them. I don't get stuck and that's all I care about.

With a loader on yours I don't think weight will be a problem on the discbine. Mine isn't that much bigger and I pulled a chisel plow the other day that was causing wheelies on the JD tractor it normally goes on. Mine never even thought about coming off the ground and I don't have any weights at all on it. Yet.

I just attended the Farm Science Show at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. All of the NH and Case tractors there were equipped with Goodyear, Michelin, or Titan tires. I'm assuming the Titans are the ones you are referring to as Chinese. The are US made, in fact they recently purchased the Goodyear Ag tractor line and manufacture Goodyear as well.

Just got a call from my Kubota dealer tonight and he didn't have much good to say about this tractor but he is trying to sell me a 7040 Kubota. He made it sound like the TD75D was barbaric compared to the Kubota. The TD75D has dry pto clutch and so is the transmission where as Kubota everything is wet. Is there anyone out there that has owned one of these model TD75D for several years? Can they stand the abuse? Would it last 25 years or up to 10000 hours without problems. The Kubota is proven in this area. Wife is going to kill me if I don't decide already...

Wife is going to kill me if I don't decide already

Take you time, it's a lot of money and you only want to do it once.

I'm in the same boat almost a year shopping now, I've bounced from Kubota, to NH, and even almost bought an ASV track skid steer. Surprsingly all three models come it at around the same price.

Last week I looked at two models side by side the Kubota 57hp, and the NH 60 HP, and the NH looked soo much more beefier than the Kubota. Then again the dealer did mention to me about the dry and wet systems, and yes the dry will wear just like brakes will wear, but putting in a clutch isn't going to break the bank, and it all depends on how you drive it. If you ride the clutch you'll burn it up.

Anyway - I'm still scratchin my head also, on what to get. I know with the two Kubota's I have owned they have been bullet proof, and have never spent a dime on them, so for me to change knowing the brand is what's stalling me.

The TDD line is a no frills line of tractors. It is a strong, solid design and should work for a long time with few problems.

When I first started looking at a utility tractor almost 10 years ago the JD dealer started bashing the Ford/NH 3930 as an old design compared to the new 5000 series from Deere. He didn't really go into what was wrong with the 3930 only that it was old and in his sales pitch, old was bad:rolleyes:

I know of quite a few NH TDD and Case JX owners (same tractors different colors) and they all love them. If you want more bells and whistles look at the biggest TN or the TL series from New Holland. The TL is a great tractor but I didn't like the overhead console in the cab as I kept feeling like I was going to hit it. I never did but the feeling was there so I didn't buy it.

Hey Boys,
The Kubota dealer also sells Massey and CaseIH. (he's my relative also) Anyways he matched the price of the NH dealer on the TD75D. I'll be getting a CX80, front wheel assist, cab, loader(self leveling/quick attach), bucket(with bolt on tines for digging/manure), bale spike, fluid in rear tires, 2 rear remotes, circulating block heater, 12.4x24 fronts and 18.4x30 rears. Could not work any dealership down to the US prices I see out there If you buy new across the border the companys(Kubota/caseIH) will not warrenty the tractor if it was not purchased in Canada(sucks). I did want to buy local though. Lets get this thing home and get to work the snow is coming. I also got a Buhler 84" snowblower for it. Thanks for everyones advise. Great forum. Will post some pixs..
