I know that the JD power reverser has a modulator as an option. This is an option that is supposed to make the shift time adjustable from forward to reverse and vice versa. I don't think that Kubota has that as an option, at least I didn't see it when optioning my tractor. I would imagine that in some situations it would be helpful.

They have one as an option. From the few reviews I seen it doesn't make much difference. Mine does not have one. The Kubota is just "faster" in changing direction.
