Teaching my son to run the Cub

Thanks for the good advice. I think I am going to "test" the waters and try him out this Saturday. I will be keeping close tabs on him.
I think he will be okay. My son is very responsible and I am confident he can handle it well.

So we will see how it goes!

Well, I my son mow today with the Cub. He did a great job. I walked beside him for 3 rounds then just sat in the shade and watched him. He didn't leave any strips of uncut grass.
I did have to remind him not to go to fast and other than a few manuverablitiy issues I thought he did a fine job.

For me it's tough because my son and I both love seat time. He gets upset if I mow when he's not around. Once in a while I sneak in a high cut and then let him cut it at the normal height.

I hear ya! a good portion of my yard is a slope so he will just get to do the section below my house that is flat.

My younguns are 9 (Girl) and 8 (Boy). They are just starting with constant supervision. They like to have "Kid" fun too
