I need some input on the John Deere telescoping draft links.
Are they worth the money and do they save time and your back?

If you're referring to telescoping lower links on the 3PH, I don't know what they cost, but would bet they're worth the money. They do save time and your back, not to mention frustration. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have the telescoping links on my 4310 and find them to be most helpful.

When I purchased the tractor I had them add an I-Match, but there have been a couple implements that aren't compatible and I had to remove the I-Match. When that happened, the telescoping links were "worth their weight in gold" (well not really at the cost of gold, but that is the old saying).

How much extra are they? I didn't even look at the package without.

Yes, Yes and YES (in that order!) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes. My tractor already had them installed sitting on the dealer lot. I bought an I-Match, but it turns out the only implement it fits is my LX-6. I'm thinking about taking the I-Match back for a refund.

Anyway, I took the I-Match off and the telescoping links made life real easy hooking up my harrow and box scrape. I'm going to look into some other quick attach products that have been mentioned here on TBN. There are probably certain implements that no quick hitch will work on, so the telescoping links are definately worth having.

I was told by my JD dealer that the telescoping links are on most of their 5XXX series tractors, but is not available in the 4X20 series. What's up with that?! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I think they are rather handy myself.

I agree exactly, same experience here.

Every 4520 I've seen, including mine, have the telescoping links.

Really? I wonder why when ordering a new 4720 cab model, the telescoping arms are shown as "N/A"? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif When I asked, my JD dealer simply said that they were not available on the 4X20 lineup.
