Perhaps you can answer this question. How does the chain in the forklift interact with the hydraulic cylinder. Does it somehow multiply the lift capability .
I see the hydraulic and chain used on car lift also.
And what is the name of the process where a hydraulic cylinder pushes on a hinged center of two brackets, and caused them to expand in length? Say your cylinder has 18 in stroke, but when it pushes against the 18 in brackets, at the hinged center point, and when fully extended, the brackets have flatted out or opened up to 36 in.
I ask you this because I think you said you worked with forklifts awhile back.
