I did my 9-convergences then used a Digital Video Essentials. I do not know if the DVE helped or not. I know my convergence was way out of whack due to shipping. Also sharpness and usually brightness are also incorrect.
My (2) 60”’s were returned for free but the people who picked them up to return were amazing. They slid the screen, face down in a van and the other one was removed from the box to ship back. Nice ha and I just stood in amazement and watched then quickly signed the paper stating they had the tv now.
The warranties are a good and cheap thing. The price for the warranties is like $100. for like 3 years or something. Look at price of the remote, it is like a $100. I left my TV on for 7 days (24 h per day) to burn in. So far after 4.9 years still going strong. I would also not get the plastic screen covering if there is an option. It gives MAJOR glare on the screen. If there is a lamp or window in back of you or on the side, you will see the reflection big time.
Most retail stores you can go there and "talk" them down some $$$ or get the warrenty for like 50% off or for free. Mine was 50% off and free delivery. Most times if the tv will break it will be within a short time. Also there is not much to the tv since I took mine apart to see how it worked. It is all air!!!!! That is why I like my LCD projector better. Goes from 1 foot to over 30 feet and it is the size of a shoe box!
