Ten Hours till Retirement

Fantastic! Enjoy. I hung up my keyboard last April. Have found tons to keep me busy, including 8 grand children scattered from North Carolina to Colorado. I know you will enjoy a more steady routine than the rotating swift work. Will raise my HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY coffee cup for you in the morning!

The wife just retired in October after thirty years with the state. Kinda neat. Are ya gonna sleep in in the morning?

Congratulations on your retirement. I worked for 38 years for an electric utility co. The last 30 years I worked a rotating shift. 10 days on 4 days off. Then evenings..then nights..I retired in 1999. Enjoyed ever day since. :thumbsup:Have a great retirement

IMG_0993.jpgCongratulations! Never did much shift work except early in my 44 years but did have to put up with the..."no problem BUT..." phone calls nights weekends. Been out 3 years now-like you, time now for grandkids and toys including attached.

Enjoy!!

Shift work is not good for your body. I did all right until about 5 years ago and then really started getting tired of it. We work 12 hour shifts. People who work shift work understand how you feel. Generally cranky all the time. When I'm off I usually don't sleep past 6am. Hoping to lose weight and get back in shape. I'll be able to work out at the health club I belong to on a regular basis now. I can already feel the stress starting to ease off.

Red Horse, that's a nice Mack. Do you belong to the ATHS?
