OK, so I put up a tent shed to house my tractor last fall. Located close to the house so I would have electric to plug in the tractor, with plans on moving it this summer after I take a couple of trees down by my other shed (no room for tractor in that one).

Now the problem, I placed it to close to my wood processing area and while bucking up logs this morning I backed into it with my box blade and tore the fabric about 10" or so.

Anyone have any good ideas on how to repair this so it will not tear further? I have seen the tarp repair tape at the home centers but from what I have seen it does not tend to last.

cut a piece of any fabric, about 4 inches wide and 10" long ,,,, use a hot glue gun to glue up one side of the rip ... use a couple of blocks of wood to squeeze the patch and one side together , wait for it to harden.... then pull the other side tight and apply hot glue and repeat ... use a needle and string at the widest part of the rip to pull the pieces in line.... remove the string after it has set ...

in some places, they use hot glue to put zippers on fabric tents ...
