Amazing video. I can never understand why humans can't get the simplest things in order in some cases, yet have the ability to create something (that works) as in this assembly line. That is no small feat! IMO

Not sure what that was all about. I do find it at the very least a bit misleading that electric vehicles are often touted as zero CO2 emmisions.

Could be the charging is by solar or hydro?
Every week there is a new solar array in the neighborhood and on my little road are 3 plug in electrics... no Tesla yet.
Two of the 3 have very large arrays and were producing way more power than used after going LED so they decided to buy electric and still have power to spare on an annual basis... plus they get single driver use of the carpool lanes and preferred parking at work... one is a Leaf and the other two are plug in Prius.

I never understood why they let hybrids and electric vehicles in car pool lanes. Those vehicles a designed to be the most fuel efficient ( gas or electricity) than regular vehicles. Car pool lanes were designed to limit traffic, not let hybrids and electric cars drive with one person. I sure some corrupt politician bought a hybrid and didn't want to fight traffic so he passed a law. My tdi gets similar mileage as a Prius can I use the car pool lane with just me, nope.

Yep... it spurred a lot of sales and made the cars more valuable... it they have the carpool sticker.
Most of the people I know bought these cars because they commute during rush hour... and zipping across the bridge to San Francisco was too good of a carrot to ignore.
