TL,DR - They have to make guesses based on what they can see from the videos and speculate at points so they make it clear they don't know for sure, but they do make a guess that the demos where they drop the steel ball from a stepladder onto a window laid out flat, may have allowed the window to move due to flex in the mounting brackets, which absorbed some shock. Meanwhile the window mounted in the "sledgehammer proof" door may not have the same ability to absorb some of the impact.
Why the window did not break while they threw wrenches and other things like that at it in testing, but shattered from the steel ball in the demo, is still yet to be determined. Reminds me of when Bill Gates accidentally demonstrated the BSOD to the world, while doing the Windows 98 launch. :thumbsup:
