Test Drive Error

Heavy is right, Nuru. My wife helped me get the tires off the pickup truck. We slid them down the ramps I have for my Ranger. I wouldn't have wanted to stand up any heavier tires, but we stood them up from the ramps and rolled them into place. I had jack stands under the tractor and carefully lowered the axle one side at a time to align with the hub of the wheel. Of course, the fronts were much easier to put back on, but even they are heavy. It took less than a half hour for the whole thing.

As far as bounce, there basically is none any more. It's an incredible difference. It feels much more stable going over rough terrain, and not only that, I can't get a flat tire! For me, SuperFlex is worth the extra expense.

duanet; what did it cost you? I am still thinking about it for the front.

This looks like this will take a little planning to get it done. Thanks for the ideas!

Tres, bigger trailer not an option - no room. I have to figure something out, Oh well, this will take some thinking.

Nuru, I'm not sure you want to know. The fronts were $96 apiece and the rears were $273 each. That's more than the $.99/lb. someone mentioned. Maybe that wasn't installed?

One question - why only the fronts?

Well, Okkkkkkkk, dare I say a bigger house with more acerage and a barn!!!!!!! Then of course you can get a bigger tractor which will need a bigger trailer or you could do like I do --park it in the driveway loaded with junk and listen to my wife--er--complain and the neigbors stare. See the thing is with the neighbors, I volunteered to chair the Community commitee but nobody wanted a commitee so that could park junk everywhere. I gave up trying and then they all some how picked everything up so now it is payback time and they get to look at my junk collection. You know the saying-- "payback is a *****!" Nuru, I vote for park it in the drive or better yet chain it in the street. If you got a car that leaks oil then park that out there too.

Back tires too heavy for mowing my grasss when filled, the fronts are still okay. Those prices are kinda stiff. But it is rare technology.
