At 3500 hours, if your serious, I would first have the tractor fully checked out by a Dealership. You will need to get full service done on it anyways if you do decide to buy & this way you will know up front what additional monies you will have to put into it.

Vic

Take it to a dealer that does AG tractors only. I learned this lesson the hard way. And a 30-60 day warranty would be nice. And how much does he want for it? And post some pictures!! <- boy, am I pushy or what :D ?)

OK, I think I see a theme here. You guys want to know how much it is.

Well we came to an agreement today. (I will post these in $USD because most of the readers are American, but the transaction was in $CAD) He was asking $24,350US for the tractor(4wd, Cab, 84" Loader Q/A) with the snow blower. And I started my bid at $20,365US, which he accepted within a few minutes.

Some background on the value. I was talking to the finance guy at the local Case dealer, about this specific tractor, and he said its value in the blue book with 6700hrs was somewhere around the final sale price. So with almost half the hours and the 86" snow blower I think I came in not-too-bad.

As for the warranty, I didn't push it.

Picutres will have to wait until I get posession of it, probably next week sometime. I am really happy that the guy only lives about 5 miles away, so I'm going to just drive it home. Saves me a floating charge on something that heavy.

Now that 20 gallon fuel tank is going to be a problem. Thats a lot of jerry cans if it gets empty. I will have to fill it up and keep it full. Oh yeah, up here the winters get cold and everybody worries about block heaters. This one has a 1500watt  heater.

I have a similar tractor, a New Holland TN70A. I use 5 gallon cans and it works fine.

Bob

It has a standard transmission hi/low range with 4 gears and an electronic fast/slow switch, so that makes 16 forward and 8 reverse

So, no power shuttle (Or EHSS) for forward/reverse? You have to use the clutch to go from forward to reverse and vice versa?
