Testing Engine Oil - how sample taken?

I like the valves, but since I only do one (1) oil change per year, is it worth it?? It is sad to say I am still on a 4 year old $0.90 washer for the oil bolt…

Yep its Rotella. TBN was fine. Can't remember what it was, maybe 10ish. Fuel, which I had a problem with on the last oil which was due to sitting in traffic, is now back to where it has been. So not a problem now that I'm out of the traffic.

based on the TBN of 11.5 (new) I did not know after 8K milkes it would be only 1.5 down. Seems too high.

What was TAN and OXD and NOX?

TBN was 10.1. The last sample TBN was 9.3 but that is when I had 2.0% fuel in the oil. None this last sample. No water or antifreeze either.

Don't know what TAN, OXD, or NOX stand for and don't see anything on the report that looks close. What are they?
