Texas Drought

   / Texas Drought #11
You read right, Jim. I just live a couple of miles from Lake Lewisville so I've seen some of the water ends of the ramps a long ways from the edge of the water now. In fact they've locked the gates to most, if not all, of the parks so you can't even drive down to look at the launching ramps anymore. The only boats you see on the lakes now are those that are housed in the marinas, and I know at least one guy who tore the transom out of his boat by running too fast and hitting a stump in an area where he was accustomed to deep water. Right now, I don't even know of a place a person could launch a boat, although I suppose such might exist.
