Been raining the last 5 hours. About 2 inches in the rain guage now with no sign of stopping. Medium steady rain now. I think this round will fill the pond.:)
hugs, Brandi

Congrats Brandi. Please post pics, I want to see what a full pond looks like!!!

I'm at half an inch so far. I'm supposed to get more, but the radar looks like all I'll get is light showers, if anything. This is great for my new grass seed, but not so much for my ponds. Maybe if the grass comes in, I'll get more run off and less silt when it does rain hard here!!!

Got a good rain today down here on the gulf coast. Not sure how much as my rain guage cracked from the summer heat. The skeeters were already bad from last weeks rain so this will just at to them. I did order a skeeter fogger as the county does not seem to have the funds to send the truck out.

Well at least Brandi has a full pond!! must be "good livin" May have to "sell" photo's of that!!

Checked the forecast for tonight, now it say's we'll freeze tonight, not much of a heads up, but it is November.

Eddie, a half inch?, that's pretty good the way your lucks been rolling with the rain dice, now maybe your ground is getting saturated enough to start giving you the run off.

Well, it needs another 24 inches or so to go overflow. Not full yet.

Dig yourself a pond and stock it with Mosquito fish. They eat the mosquito larvae on the water's surface.
I see a mosquito every now and then, but no problem with them biting me.

Yep, NWS forecast 31 for last night and 28 for tonight. However, it only got down to 36 this morning but now the forecast for tonight is 27.

Anyway, I didn't want to be out working in cold weather, so I put up the outside Christmas lights Friday to make my wife happy.;)

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! I am NOT ready to do that. My turkey hasn't been fully digested. I know it's coming, but I prefer to bury my head in the sand and act like it's not gonna happen.;)

I got away with that last year, Jim. I had a good excuse; knee replaced the last day of August and last follow-up with the doctor on Nov. 23.

I'd prefer not doing it all, and this year Margaret asked me if I'd just put some lights on the 3 shrubs. I told her she's a lot of trouble, but I guess she's worth it.;) Anyway, I knew it would make her happy if I went ahead put the lights on the eaves and around the door, too.

Me too! and whats gonna happen???:D I'm good with a tree (real one) the fireplace going and on some occasions a little snow. My wife has probably 8 boxes of decorations, so when she is "really" in the spirit, I feel like I'm shopping at Micheal's MJ designs or Hobby Lobby. BUT, the girl can cook fellas, I mean she could have her own Bakery, so I eat good and don't complain...Much

OH!! BTW Bird, think of me tonight while your drinking your hot CoCo and watching TV in your house slippers:laughing:

I will be on a parking lot working in Cedar Hill till probably 2-3am and I'm almost old enough now that I can legally throw a "temper tantrum" about it on the job and no one will argue about it. I fire myself every day, but keep showing up,
