I need to invest in a heater in deer stand, this morning was a bit nippy.

Anyone done this before? When I was maybe 12 or 13 I went deer hunting with a friend in their stand. He had a coffee can that he put a roll of toilet paper in. It fits perfectly then you pour a bottle of rubbing alcohol over it til can is full then light on fire. It did work but that was so long ago I don't remember how big the flame was or how long it lasted.

TXDON;

From 1990 to 2007 our previous ranch was about a mile SE of Praha. We could see the old painted church from our back porch.

Do you remember who it was? Rick

The Fayette County Sheriff's office is reporting a farming accident that killed a 66-year old man late Monday afternoon.
Fayette County Deputy responded to the incident and found a man pinned under the left rear tire of a tractor near the community of Praha. Reports say the tractor was parked on a slight incline and proceeded to roll forward, knocking the man to the ground and running over the victim, identified as Robert Schaefer.

The investigation continues but Lt. David Byers of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office says it appears to be a purely accidental farming accident.

Western, that watermelon is NOT from my garden - it's from my pool area. Some one spit out a seed by the pool and that was the result.

Kyle, yes that is the mower lift. Did you get it?

What is all this smoke in central Texas????

We did our part in Lee County - Prop. 6 failed here 335 for, 549 against.

Someone hit A 10inch Chevron line over in Ellis county...

I've done it that way, even with blocks under the wheels ( no place to put jack stands under this little 48" mower front axles.) Up here it seems like the time to get under there for routine maintenance is after the mowing season, so having it in a warm garage is a big plus for the stand and it is right next to the air supply for the wrenches. Takes less than a minute to position the mower and lift it. I really like the steel safety locks to protect against the jack leaking down.

For those of you that have a deck like this, you know the PITA it is to keep grass and leaves cleaned out of there, particularly the pulley guards w/o taking them off. I drilled a couple holes in the guards and use a blow gun nozzle that I taped to an old piece of conduit years ago to clean off the top of my round baler. It works great on that deck and no ripped skin on my hands from snagging the sharp metal and spring end under there. I can clean the whole thing while standing up without getting crap all over me.
Getting lazy, or maybe smart, in my old age.:D

I just came in from pushing the mower around the lawn. I've been needing to do that, but my weekends have seemed to not be my own, lately. So, chopped up most of the leaves with the mower, and left it as mulch. It would be nice out, if the wind would die down about 10 kts!

I expect to get out on the 1050, later today, and also in the morning. I still need to finish a little hogging in a horse pasture. Winds are supposed to shift and come out of the north after noontime tomorrow, so need to get a lot finished while we are in the 70s today and 80s in the morning!

Y'all have a good weekend!

And I haven't seen many postings by jinman.

jinman; If ya need anything, send a PM. We can help, if needed! Otherwise, take care, and feel better soon!
