Mother Nature is blessing us with a couple days of warm weather. With another .2" of rain things are starting to turn green again. Hope the forecast of warmer weather is right.

Ron, your still in the RGV right? Far from Green here in N Texas, even the winter grasses are struggling with the dryness and cold.

Ron, how was/is the citrus harvest in the Valley this year? With lots of moisture, I'd expect the fruits to be very large, but maybe not as sweet as with less rain. I don't recall anything negative for a good harvest. Maybe that's because I'm not down there, but I'm thinking the harvest has been a very good year.

My wife and I watched several does snacking on the few patches of green grass on our pond dams last night. They will munch on anything green including young bulbs sprouting in our flowerbeds. Kathy has a cardboard box she puts over her daffodils when they peek out of the ground.

I'm thinking our roads are going to be obnoxious again, I need to get a truck to the chevy dealer in Decatur, but don't know if I want to get stranded.

29* and ice has been growing since daylight, porch is a "landmine", roads where "OK" this morning though, some slick spots.

According to my thermometer it's 18 to 22 degrees on our patio and the moisture that blew in during the night and this morning is very slick ice now. I've got to take my wife to a doctor's appointment at 10 a.m. tomorrow; hope the roads aren't too bad.

Bird, Hope you can make it, sounds like just enough ice to make some folks over confident with the roads. supposed to be "Summer" by the weekend, go figure.......

I guess I will get my seed potatoes this weekend. I cut the eyes a few days before we plant them, don't know why, but that's how grandad always did it so that's what we did when we planted them:confused3: Want to give some Broccoli a shot too, 1st time for that.

What happens here depends on how cold it gets....mist and fog outside now....31.8 freezing degrees now ....it'll be slick if it freezes for long...70+ degrees yesterday, so ground is warmed up somewhat.
