Yep, it's crazy weather. According to the NWS, a couple of days ago, it hit 70 degrees and stayed in the mid-60s all night, then started down about 5 a.m. yesterday and was 46 and overcast a good part of the morning while I was mowing, edging, and trimming our yard and one next door. Then it eventually cleared, got sunny, and went back up to 59 about 4 p.m. yesterday, and has slowly been going down ever since.

So now it's 44 and overcast, supposed to be 100% chance of rain today, with slowly dropping temperature to 24 tonight with an 80% chance of a rain/sleet mix and only up to 28 tomorrow with an 80% chance of sleet. Looks like a cool or cold week.

NWS says it's 31 degrees and I just went out and poured about 1.72" of rain out of the gauge. Well, I poured part of it out; the gauge was already icing up, the grass I walked on was crunchy, and we're still getting a very very light freezing rain. Low tonight forecast for 24.

Isn't it something like 1" rain is equal to 6" snow??? If thats true you could have had almost 12" of potential snow men!!!!!

You'd have to build your snow men pretty strong or that 20-29 mph north breeze would blow them over.:)

One inch of rain normally equals 10 to 12 in of snow at 10 to one or so. The colder it is the higher the ratio goes. Hopefully this helps

NWS says it's now 25 degrees and only going to go DOWN instead of up today! But only down to 22 with a wind chill of 7 to 17. I figure the only time we'll open a door today is to let the dog out and back in, which I just now did.
