I never got to go inside Colt Stadium, but I rode by it a lot with Dad in his mattress truck. The Colt stadium was said to be the “hottest place on earth”.

I miss the good times at the Dome during Rodeo.
Oh, I should have said I gave up on them when as the Colt 45's they did not play in the world series. I've slept through their seasons since.Don,
Did you sleep thou the 2005 season?:confused3:

This is no lie. My wife and I are first and foremost huge Texas Rangers fans. I like the Astros too and theyæ±*e my second favorite team. But after my wifeç—´ dad passed away in 2010 baseball became a å*µetaway? Wife turned out to be a diehard fan passing me up. Our Rangers started slipping this year but awesome season for the Astros.
I showed wethers and rabbits at the Houston Livestock show. Each year, us larger animal exhibitors were there for about 5-6 days. You can bet we figured out ways to get into the rodeo free. Back when the concert was in the middle and bull riding was last, you could walk in for free after the concert.

I've never considered myself to be any great sports fan, but we did go to a few Rangers games 30 or so years ago. But my wife might be a bit like yours; she's been glued to the TV for all the Rangers games this year.
I used to be a huge baseball fan. Played all day, listened to the games at night on my transistor radio. Even kept score.
The games got slower and slower, and I lost interest. Don't have 3+ hours to devote to a game. And the season is too long. If they sped up the game and shortened down the regular season, I would go back to it.
I like pitch by pitch, but it's the antics between pitches that drives me crazy. Used to be the catcher would throw the ball back to the pitcher, and within 10 seconds, next pitch. Now the batter has to step out, then the pitcher has to walk the mound, then the batter steps out again.Major League Baseball (MLB) network has condensed the games down to two hour time slots. Channel 213 on Direct TV. I hate the condensed games. After the Astros, my favorite team is the Cubs. I gave up watching the Cubs-Dodger playoff series because I could not follow the game the way I like, pitch by pitch. When tired, I have been know to fast forward my DVR between pitches.
