We got as cold last year (2017). I was hoping my grapefruit was going to recover and produce in 2018. It seems to have held up, but we did get a very hard freeze.

I hope it got cold enough this year to kill off a lot of bugs. I've been enjoying several 'bug free' days lately.

Already seen activity on fire ant mounds....

Mosquitoes don't care whether it's cold or not, as long as it's not frozen. Alaska has horrible biting insect periods.

I was working on some fence lines today and kicked over some old fire ant mounds and nothing at all. They must have been deep.
