Texas Man, 70, killed by bee swarm while mowing

I just found a bald faced hornets nest right in the ground by my outside faucet. 2 of the buggers kept buzzing me, moved so fast they seemed to disappear and reappear a few feet away.

Seems they always have 2 guards on the nest.
After reading how they never nest in the ground, went back to look today and see a few going in/out right where I thought they were, in the ground.
I have seen/removed plenty of yellow jackets, these are bigger and a lot faster. Should be interesting to see how the wasp spray works. Have to go pick some up after we used up the last bit on 2 that had got in the house.

So far no stings, but where they are will certainly not work out well

Bar none. This is the best wasp/hornet spray I’ve ever used. If I spray a flying critter it dies in mid air.

I HAD A PAPER NEST OVER MY GAGAGE DOOR A FEW YEARS AGO. I GOT CLOSE ENOUGH TO THROW SOME SEVEN DUST ON THE BOARD NEAR THE NEST. AN HOUR LATER THERE WAS NO ACTIVITY AND I NOCKED THE NEST DOWN. I'VE ALSO PUT SOME NEAR A GROUND BEE ENTRANCE AND IT WORKED THE SAME WAY.

If you leave that nest up, it repels other wasps.

Exactly. They even sell dummy nests to keep others away.

It comes in a liquid form also.
