Texas Spring/Summer Thread

Well, I was spot on. My tractor, disc, and drag harrow got chased out of the 7 acre hay patch just after I started the second pass. Walking to the truck had thunder and lightning all around me. Now, I gotta finish tomorrow........................please. Had the wipers on high pulling the 29 foot gooseneck the 15 miles home. Got home and it quit raining with 1/2 inch in the rain gauge.

I hear thunder. The pavers have unconnected drops,,should I pull my truck out and open the window or what ---help quick before it passes.....

Well, if 'April showers bring May flowers,' there ain't gonna be many blooms around.

I'm happy with the rain I've had, but I was hoping to finish out the month with a nice shower this weekend. It looks like May 1st is our next decent chance. If people want flowers and gardens, they'd better be buyin' some hoses.

No rain here either. I have decided to try the naked rain dance on Wednesday, since that is the next chance forecast here. If you hear of some crazy lady, being arrested for dancing naked in the pastures, you'll know it was me! Of course, if it rains, I'll be peope will line up to post my bail!

I always tease my wife about getting out there and doing a nakey rain dance. Hasn't happened yet and thus, the extended drought.
