A guy from the county extension office called me today and says he will walk my property with me and then help me with the application. The real key is that you must have the 1-d-1 ag exemption already but they just yanked mine after 8 years. The appraisal district lady sent me an application for it in the mail, but I can't get anyone to return a phone call at all. They are probably busy this time of year with the protest hearings.
