Snow TG2754 for BX23

It's not a question of whether the TG2754 54" blade will fit, it's a question of what sub frame it comes with. According to a pdf version of the 2007 Kubota Wholegoods catalog I have, the BX23 requires a BX2751 Quick Hitch for it to work with your tractor. Per the below excerpt, quite a few other BX tractors used that sub frame as well, so check what tractor it's coming off of.
"TG2754 54 Snow/Utility Blade Manual Angle: BX1800, BX1830, BX2200, BX2230, BX22, BX23 require BX2751 Quick-Hitch Subframe Kit." I also checked and that same sub frame is used for the 50 and 60 series BX's. So chances are it will work with your BX23. Just note that it is manual angle and you have to get off the tractor to change the angle, but I converted mine to hydraulic angling and it works great.

Thanks for responding. A friend found this for sale and sent it to me. The owner has a bx2200. He said he now uses a backblade and leaves his FEL on. His control valves are on the loader so it takes more time he said to switch the plow with the fel. I was concerned with the width. It seemed a little narrow especially if you angle it. The price was 550.00 which seemed reasonable. I like your power angle but don't think I could figure that out.

Looks like it will work for your BX23. The blade and subframe retails for around $1000 new. I can tell you that when fully angled, it will clear a path just wide enough for your BX to drive through.
On the power angle, I bought all the parts from Surpluscenter and had a welder fabricate the cylinder brackets. Ran around $150 to do the conversion. The Kubota 60" power angle blade runs closer to $2k new.

CDHinCT, I don't see a way to message you directly, and I know this is an old thread, but hopefully you will see this. I just got a TG2754 and want to do the same thing you did by adding hydraulics. I have the 2751 quick hitch and a 2750D snowblower. I got the blade for wet snow that will clog up the snowblower. I am hoping that you can tell me the model of the cylinder you used. My measurements lead me to believe a cylinder with 16" retracted and 18" extended lengths. That means a 4" stroke. I have not found a model with those dimensions.
Also, can you please tell me you experience with this set up. Any issues? Anything you would have done differently? Did you purchase the brackets or have your welder make them up?

KubotaTomR, just saw your post today. I will have to get you some info tomorrow. I actually sold the plow some years ago but I think I can find my Surplus Center supply info.
Only issue I ever had with it was the plow itself. That triangular bracket that swivels the plow would pack up with snow after awhile keeping it from fully angling. Would have to stop and use a screwdriver to clear it out. Nothing to do with why I sold it, however.

KubotaTomR, found my order details from Surplus Center back in 2009. Last item listed is the cylinder. Tried putting that part number into the search box at SC but nothing comes up. Guess they don't sell that cylinder anymore. However, deciphering, looks like the cylinder had a 1.5" core with a 1" rod and a 6" stroke. IIRC, the 6" stroke was perfect from swinging the blade from lock to lock. Hope this is enough to help you find a cylinder that works for you.

I will have to redo my measurements. I did a rough job and came up with a four inch stroke. I don't want to be short and I definitely do not want to be too long as that could tear everything apart.

The mention of the snow packing into the triangle bracket is useful. I will look at covering up the holes on the bottom and maybe making a 'cover' for the opening.

Looking back at my pic, I misspoke about the triangular bracket. The snow packs into the rectangular bracket that the triangular bracket swivels in. Don't think you can close that off as it needs to be open for the plow to swivel. What happens is you pick up snow in that rectangular bracket after pushing into a snow bank and then backing up. Not a huge deal but you will probably have to clean it out every so often. Good luck.
