Toffy,
The use of the internet can sure connect you with lots of friends and folks willing to help and TBN is certainly the place to go. After a while logging on and "surfing" the net as they call it will come easy but it's always good to contact a local Personal Computer (PC) Shop to see if they have any training sessions where you'll sit in a classroom with a PC they provide and they'll walk you through different aspects the PC Offers. Also, in this day and age you have to be real careful with what information you provide about yourself that would aid in identity theft. Ask that PC shop if they can help you install a program that will help prevent people from accessing your PC or sending you countless emails you don't want called "SPAM". I use a product called "Norton Internet Security" which is pretty powerful and updated daily against known things out there that would harm your PC and I'm sure others have used something else but the point is, get protection and understand some sites offering things to buy using a credit card might not be what they seem, again, training set a good foundation when using your PC.
