I am a very old man who has problems with computers. I could not log on and have no idea why. However the people at Tractor By Net came through. This has been a very painful experience . And I do thank them for the help. If this is not at the right place, I hope they understand that i am greatful.

Correction: Your not old, your experienced. Don't feel bad, I don't know how many times I have sat here cursing at this "thing" only to have my nephew punch a few keys and ask what the problem is. And yes, TBN is the greatest thing since God created dirt.:thumbsup:

I can't remember all my passwords at work so I have a cheat sheet, with TBN I don't bother logging off, just click on my favorites and here I am.

The use of the internet can sure connect you with lots of friends and folks willing to help and TBN is certainly the place to go. After a while logging on and "surfing" the net as they call it will come easy but it's always good to contact a local Personal Computer (PC) Shop to see if they have any training sessions where you'll sit in a classroom with a PC they provide and they'll walk you through different aspects the PC Offers. Also, in this day and age you have to be real careful with what information you provide about yourself that would aid in identity theft. Ask that PC shop if they can help you install a program that will help prevent people from accessing your PC or sending you countless emails you don't want called "SPAM". I use a product called "Norton Internet Security" which is pretty powerful and updated daily against known things out there that would harm your PC and I'm sure others have used something else but the point is, get protection and understand some sites offering things to buy using a credit card might not be what they seem, again, training set a good foundation when using your PC. :thumbsup:

Old? seems that you are young in spirit so keep tackling new ideas as you are now. The only way to coast is down hill.

It is amazing what a few years difference in age makes. I was born in 1949 and I started using my first computer at work in 1989 and got one at home in 1990 (for the kids) Wife and I use them all the time and we each have our own, actually she has a laptop and a desktop. Now my sisters who are 6 and 8 years older than me have to this day never used a computer. I keep trying to get the older one to buy one but she is just not into them. Just in those 6-8 years we went from not needed a computer to a must have in order to work. Now it seems that we have stagnated in the electronics field in the last 10 years or so. Not much progress other than hard drive storage capacity and size and price. Most computers are still using the same 2000 era technology but maybe teaming up the computer "brain" with double modules. I am waiting for the next breakthru to come so we can Star Trek into the future.
