That case showcases a lot wrong with the system. Really should it take 2 years to bring a case to trial and then months of mostly BS on the stand to convict someone? The more notable the case, the more attention it gets and the longer the process drags out.

I'm glad the Peterson trial is over, too. But now the media will be all over the Robert Blake case. They are just now selecting a jury for that one. I wonder how long this case will drag on for? /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I agree and not the least of the injustices is the fact that it took 6 months out of the lives of the jurors. At my age I'd really resent any system that said I had to sacrifice 6 months of the time I have left in order to fulfil my civic duty.

All kidding aside, it was an unusual case involving two attractive, photogenic white people in suburbia and that's why it got the coverage that it did. I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying that's why it got all of the coverage. At least Blake had some national recognition before his arrest.
