Congratulations! You'll have fun.

You'll keep finding things to do with it, trying to make a cup holder for longer time in the seat;)

This is what I came up with for carrying spare stuff like drinks. I still need to paint it sometime.

Speaking of paint -- I suggest that anything that can come loose like a turnbuckle should be painted fluorescent orange or other bright color. I lost one and it's still in the yard somewhere. It cost me $45 to replace it.

The worst problem I have found with mine is neighbors and family wanting me to do things. Never fails pull out of the barn and here they come.

Congrats on the 28. I didn't get a back hoe on my 22. The wife was complaining about the hydrant by the barn leaking and spraying water all over when she turns it on the fill water buckets. I said "Get your shovel and start digging". Of course she said "I'm not digging, you've got a digger on your tractor". I replied "No, I don't you didn't want to get the back hoe with it... should I call Rick at Specialty Tractor and tell him to order one for us?" No answer to that.

Ok, so let me add a couple of plugs here at the end of week one. First let me say that if you are in the market for a Mahindra in the CT area go see Matt the service/sales manager at Ellington Agway Power Equipment. He and his team have been great so far. Matt just ran my mechanical thumb to me today and we put it on in 30 min. Thank you Matt! May I add that this was Matt's day off and buy "running it down" I mean a 40 minute one way drive for him. I don't think I could ask for more.

I haven't been able to spend that much time on the tractor as I would have liked to this week but I've put about 10 hours on it. Things are falling into place as far as my skill set with it. It's done what I've asked of it so far realizing that I'm using it in a homeowner/residential setting.

I have a lot of brush clearing to do and I went out on day one and picked up a Ratchet Rake. This would be my second plug. Well worth the $300 for this tool. It has made clearing a very simple process and has exceeded in what I expected it to do. It has made pulling vines up to 3" out of the 40 foot trees a breeze. Much easier than stopping to chain up to them to pull out.

So all in all no regrets at this point. My list of "to dos" is getting longer by the day and I already have a backlog that will carry me though next year. Let's hope that the Max 28 is up to the challenge and continues to shine.

Thanks again to all the people on this forum for sharing all of your years of knowledge and opinions.

I too wish I bought the backhoe...live and learn. Ive got about thirty hrs on mine now with no complaints at all. how are others making out? I did retorque the lugs and loader bolts...surprised at how much they had loosened.

When I was negotiating my Max28XL HST purchase, the dealer said the backhoe could be added at any time. There was no wiggle room or advantage to buying the backhoe that day. He said if I ever decided to add it, bring it in and it is done. $5900 was the price 2 years ago. Turns out, I don't need it.
