Thanks again for the help and advice. I ended up finding an 2wd Allmand 35d in an online auction last week in Kansas(only one state away). Seemed to be in good shape for the price and I felt comfortable with the seller, so I went for it. It has a 35 horse Izuzu diesel. I was able to speak to an owner of a 25 hp diesel allmand who lives at 4000 feet and he encouraged me to go for a 35hp being that I live at 7000' he thought the 25 might be short on power for what I am looking to do. It is an earlier model from before allmand made their own hoes so it has a bradco 509a hoe, which from what I read sounds like a good thing. Still working out shipment so have not seen it in person yet. I am sure I'll be on here again with more questions soon.
