YIKES that looks steep from the pics!

I have a question about the valve for the FEL!

did it come with the 45 degree connectors or did you have to buy them with the valve? does it use the china hoses or did you have to have American hoses made up to fit???

My valve on my ZL20 (284/254) loader is working but it also leaks down bad, (fluid bypasses valve as the tolerances are not like US stuff with thinner oil mine drops / drifts prety bad. it is both curl and lift I've checked cylinders (remove un-pressurized sides of hoses and no fluid leakage so valve is leaking internally.)

anyhow looks good!

Great Pics Kyle - You've got some nice property over there.

When does the Dozer show up?

Yeah, those are great pics Kyle.
I have a question about your loader valve. I see two levers on it, is that right? So you don't have a joystick to control the fel? I thought all the Chinese tractors came with joystick mounted valves?

Mark, if you are looking for a really good valve for your 284, I would contact Ronald at RanchHand or Tommy at Affordable. They both sell the aftermarket loader valve for replacing the stock ZL-20 loader valves. I bought one from Ronald and put it on Loretta's 284 right away. It is a joystick controlled valved that has additional features such as rapid regen and float, and also a power beyond for feeding additional valves down the line correctly.
Here is a thread about installing Loretta's valve.

They came with the 45 degree connectors from Keno Tractors. I'm sure he has to order all the pieces seperate to make his Kit It does switch from JIC to the Chinese Hoses/Connectors a third or half way down the loader arm.

To answer the other questions, there is no "joystick" it's just a 2 spool valve with float capability. Left controls up and down on the loader, and Right controls up and down of the bucket. When I test drove this machine (or the same model) at Keno (I drove down to the shop a few weeks ago) it had the Chinese Valve on it and it was also a 2 spool not a joystick.

Dozer with winch is expected by Mid October. Frame mount backhoe for tractor also expected at same time. I'm getting that crate though, so I'll try to put together a how to assemble your backhoe thread, if there isn't already one.

And btw the property is so steep I can drive it in 4wd straight up the hill and actually have it dig into the ground because it's too steep to climb. The lower part in the pic I can turn around on and there's a few angles I can climb it. The Dozer I'm hoping will let me clean the last 15-20% I couldn't because I would be side hilling unless I wanted to head into the neighbors property and/or a creek.

Thanks for showing your pics! You need to start getting more attachments so we can trade/borrow. :)

Any thoughts on getting a subsoiler or middle-buster?

Hey, Just read your profile, when can I borrow the landscape rake? I would like to ASAP before the never ending Oregon rain comes, if you're willing to loan it out. I'll update my profile I have a few more implements than what's listed.

We want pictures! Don't make us come down and visit you! ;)

My dozer arrived about a week and a half ago. Took a long time, with delays in China getting it out the door during and after the olympics. Looks great though and I included pics of the 12k winch which they had to mount high (unfortunately) as it would interfere with the 3 point arms if mounted low and I wanted to be able to winch and have an implement on back.

The frame mount backhoe (for the Jinma 454 tractor pictured earlier) ended up being a different model number it's the HW04 from Jinma which is the larger framemount backhoe. We have ran into several snags that I'm working with Keno on, and unfortunately I had the backhoe crated to me, and I discovered all the issues as Keno didn't attempt to assemble and mount to a 454 (as they didn't have a 454 in stock.) I'll cover that more in another post.

Nice looking dozer, Kyle. Looks like you get to have the self-leveling bucket on the FEL (additional top pins on the towers (transom)).
The height of the winch wouldn't be so much of an issue if you could spool straight down from the backside of the drum and run the wire through a snatch block anchored to the drawbar.
I'm curious about the "extended" tracks. How many bottom carrier rollers do you have per side (I see that you have two top carrier rollers/side from the pic)?

There is waaaayyy too much paint on that blade! :D

Don't worry I hope to take some paint of in the near future. I plan to recarve and old logging road to the back/lower part of my property soon. Then start to terrace the whole darn hill too. When I'm 60 the property should look spiffy (I'm 31 right now.) Ha.
