Thanks for the pointers. After reviewing the links you sent me to, I know I've seen the rakes before but never thought of it for maintenence on my road. I have big oil trucks that go down our dirt access road. When the roads are wet these trucks make huge ruts in the road. Causes standing water in the worst spots. I haven't used a rake for sure, but from what I've read I still think a blade would be better for my application. I'd appriciate your alls thoughts on this.

There was a discussion about the very topic a week or so ago. I used a rake to regrade my driveway after I moved in (3 years ago). The rake didn't do much when the road was bone dry. However, once it was a little wet, the rake did a great job at removing the potholes.

If you have big ruts, you may want to look at a box scraper. I think a blade may be difficult to get the grading exactly the way you want it. I did alot of damage the time I tried a neighbor's blade.

I would try the box scraper and then use the rake to get it just right (if the rake alone won't work). The L3010 should easily handle a 84" rake.
