After some years of searching for the tractor of my dreams - this has been a lifelong dream - I finally found what I wanted. I had been looking high and low, on the net, ebay, at dealers local and not so local, when I stumbled upon a Yanmar 336D. It was love at first sight.
After finally getting a price out of the dealership, which mainly does auctions, I scooted on home and did my research on this particular brand and model. After reading what all on this site had to say about Yanmar, and particularly the 336D, I made up my mind.
So now I have an seemingly impeccably well maintained 336D with 1500 hours on it, a stock Yanmar FEL, a Bradco chassis mounted quick release backhoe, ROPS, and the biggest, fattest turf tyres I have ever seen. It has only the slightest leaks, no rust, paint in great condition, minimal dings, and no mechanical problems that I or my master mechanic father-in-law can find.
And best of all. it cost me just $10 500.00 which, acccording to what I read on this site, seems to be a pretty good bargain for this combo on the East Coast/Mid Atlantic.
Were it not for the information I was able to glean from the contributors to this forum, I probably would not have had the courage to pony up so quickly. So a great big thanks to you all for sharing your wealth of knowledge, and particularly to the 336D pundits whose opinions really settled this for me.
I look forward to many years of happy tractoring, and of further educating myself via this forum.
regards
David
