The time I drove 600 feet, I figured out it was on because the brakes started to work at about that point. I imagine heat had something to do with that. I don't think it was designed to park you an eighth of a mile after you put it on.

I still don't like where the lever is, as it hurts that old fifth lumbar to bend that far over and reef up on it, or worse, push that thumb release and lower it all the way to the floor. I'm motivated to build in a kick release. Putting a ratchet type Engage, in an easy to reach place, and using my right leg to lock it down, looks like the solution for me. Anyone know where I can purchase some spare time?

Short Game,

Saw my S3010 this weekend and remembered to grab a few shots of the ratcheting brake handle lever system on it. If you are interested in perhaps going in that direction I can post them for you -- just let me know. Otherwise, I won't the waste server space with them. Sorry, don't know of any source for spare time.
