Finally got a chance to try out the American Eagle plow on my 500 and I've got to say it is one snow pushing sucker. The state plow does a great job of rolling the snow and traction doesn't seem to be an issue with the worksite tires as I had expected, we'll see how it goes after the ice layer builds up.

Awesome bro. You know you gotta post up some actions pics :) I won't be using my 500 for any snow pushing in the near future, but its good to know the little giant can handle the task.

Here's what my 500 could do, 3ft of snow. This was the next day after things settled down:

Told ya:thumbsup:

Yes you did. I'm glad it seems to do so well without chains, I could have put narrower tires on there with chains but then I'd have to store them in the off season when I wanted the wider, higher flotation tires on for mud.

The only thing I've got to figure out is a good way to angle the plow using either an electric or electric over hydraulic unit. There were quite a few times when I wanted to angle the plow and it would be much quicker to do so without having to leave the driver's seat.

You might be able to rig something up to move the plow when not under load....That's going to take a ton of power to angle that when pushing snow.

Even moving the angle when the plow is up and not having to keep jumping out would be nice. I remember the base being buried in 1 ft of snow and trying to find the pin...A bit of a pain, but it still beats the dreaded shovel.:D

I picked up one of the little cable pin pulling units that allow you to pull the handle which pops the pin and you turn to angle your plow and then release the cable... The only problem is when I looked at it the system looked pretty cheesy to me, they do make an electric unit that will angle the plow but it's pricey. I think the MSRP is up around $800

$800 is a little tough to digest for convenience...Although I shouldn't comment about that.
