I met him several years ago in Florida. I thing it was 1989-90 ish.. I remember thinking that he was much bigger in person than I thought he would be. Also for the brief meeting he was gracious and very outgoing.
No other opinion of him otherwise but certainly will be missed by his loved ones.

I can't help but think of Norm MacDonald's take on the Bandit in the Celebrity Jeopardy skits on SNL. I am now going to waste part of my day watching those skits on YouTube.
