I almost bought some TXVets land up that way, but found my place in Wise County instead. I bought three tracts here of 11 acres each, so I have 33 acres. I was going to buy another 11 acres recently, but one of my neighbors beat me to it. But that's okay, because he is a great neighbor and I have plenty of work to do on the 33 ac I already have.
I've attached a photo of my little cabin I built from a portable building (24' x 24'). It was just framed out and I finished it out inside with a full kitchen, laundry room, bath, and living/sleeping area. Behind the garage door I have a small 12' x 12' storage area. I'm currently building a porch/deck on the front. This fall, I start my house (just out of sight on the left of the photo). As you can see, I don't get in any hurry. I just try to take my time and "smell the roses." Your place looks plenty comfortable. I bet your grandkids sure enjoy visiting you.
