On edit, back to the original subject. With my dinky little Yanmar 1401D, I have -lifted a rock that nearly filled the entire bucket, although I coudn't steer and my 240 lb. dad had to stand on the box scraper to keep the back wheels on the ground -pulled a 25 foot motorhome that didn't have reverse, and- pushed a full size GMC pickup up ramps onto my trailer, and still haven't broken anything. (yet)

This is the heaviest thing I remember pulling with my little tractor.

Solid concrete with a little steel.

With my little PT425 I moved this huge log.. It is 27" in diameter at the narrow end, 37" in diameter at the wide end and 53" long. It was sitting in my back yard for a few years. I can't estimate the weight, but I can only budge one end a couple of inches with my 200+ pounds on the end of a 5 foot pry bar. I used the pallet forks, lifted it about 6 inches and backed up, which caused the right rear tire to come off the ground a few inches. I lowered it down to 1 inch off the ground and the tractor came back down. Took it away like this. Not bad for a little 25HP gas powered sub-1500 pound tractor including operrator. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gifClick here for movie(takes a few minutes to load at dial-up speeds).
