... the work surface has T-Nuts throughout the bottom which allow me to anchor my bench vice, benchtop drill press, chain saw sharpener, cut-off saw, among other things.

Does the Toyota have T-Nuts too?:confused2:

COMmunistCAST made me shut down the web server I was running on my home PC (breaking the picture links from my previous post).
Here is a repost of the pictures of my pallet racks that were in the posting with the picture of my forklift:

It makes me a little nervous too, but I move it before getting anything on or off the shelf above it.

great use of space......makes me want a small forklift!

if you don't mind me asking, how much was that forklift? is that the search criteria you used?

It was $800. My search criteria was based on price and size. I wanted to spend under $1000. I need something that could lift at least 2000 lbs, but wanted it to take as little space as possible. I also wanted something that could maneuver in a small space. This fit the bill perfectly.

It also can easily pick up either end of my tractor to put on jackstands if needed. I've used it to pick up the back end of my G1800S to put wheeled dollies under the back so I could move it (inside my shop) with out starting it (the hydrostatic transaxle has not neutral like a larger tractor).

great thread from both of you....i kind of mixed up the original poster with you and combined my message....haha:confused2:

either way, the rack storage is great....i have one section of this stuff and love it.....BUT i can't access the very top nor clear to the back....pallets would take care of this.....engines, blocks, transmissions, etc......put it all on the pallet it belongs with.....love it....

i might have to ad one of these to the list.....lot cheaper to use existing upper space that is wasted....

I do like the forklift and sturdy shelves. The one element missing is the casters which afford dollies the ability to perfectly align 3ph connections. I've been pondering how to have pallets with wheels such that the top of the platform isn't too high when connecting to the 3ph and also a way to prevent the pallet from rolling off the shelving system.

I still have the wheeled dollies I kept all this on when it was on the floor. It is easy enough to use the forklift to lift an implement off a pallet and put it back on the wheeled dollies. Most of the stuff I have on pallets is only used occasionally anyway.
